The Rabat Process workshop on the fight against migrant smuggling, with a specific focus sharing experiences and formulating recommendations based on good practices implemented by the partner countries of the Niamey Declaration, was organised in Abidjan, on the 24th October 2019. It aimed to create synergies between the Rabat Process and the Niamey Declaration signed on the 16th March 2018, which brings together 18 Member States of the Rabat Process and its objective is to strenghthen the fight against the smuggling of migrants and trafficking in human beings. The workshop took place at the end of the annual follow-up meeting to the Niamey Declaration, held on 22-23 October and organised by UNODC. .
