The main ministries in charge of migration affairs:
Ministry for Migration Policy: Together with its subordinate authorities it is the main body dealing with migration affairs, including immigration (residence permits); the reception of asylum seekers and the asylum procedure; social integration.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs: representation of Greece at international and EU levels; visa policy and consular affairs; diaspora relations.
Ministry of Public Order and Citizen’s Protection: border management and irregular migration.
